The Good Confession

They were all sitting around and the head honcho decided to ask his workers something… “who do people say I am?”
His workers answered, “well… some people think you’re that guy who was killed a few years ago. And still some others think you’re that one really important guy from the old times.”
“But what about you guys? Who do you say I am?” he asked. My guess is he was looking for allegiance.
Then Peter stood up and said boldly, “I believe that you are the Christ, Son of the living God.”
Jesus turned to Peter, and I think He smiled and maybe clapped a hand on Peter’s shoulder. “Blessed are you, Simon son of Jonah! This wasn’t revealed to you by man, but by my Father in Heaven! And now I tell you, you are Peter. And on this rock I will build my church, and the gates of Hades will not overcome. And because of your faith, Peter, you get to come into heaven. Whatever you bind on earth and loose here on earth, so it will be binded and loosed in heaven. Well done.”
