First full day of camp at Lake Aurora. It’s really great so far, and by great… I mean that it’s alright. Yesterday afternoon/evening was a rough one, with some drama going down and a change in plans and a change in my position for the week. I’m no longer a counselor (barely was one for an hour, haha), and instead I am now the assistant activities coordinator/director for the week. I will be helping out the dean and admin staff (wait… I AM part of the admin staff!!!) and doing grunt work, but also helping to plan out and set up the evening activities and the matrix for each day. To be honest, I like this behind the scenes stuff. As much as I miss being with a group of campers each day, I actually was in a funk yesterday during registration. My heart just wasn’t in it. Perhaps this is where God wanted me, as admin support, and this is where I will be most useful. If my heart isn’t in something (really, if no one’s heart is in anything), then I’m not really any sort of help to the people around me. It’s obnoxious that way, really. heh.

Anyways, please continue praying for the counselors and campers as this week progresses, as well as the admin staff and band. I’m seeing first hand just how much work goes into making a week of camp successful for campers and counselors. The dean this week is doing a great job so far. (:

Love.

ps. I miss my best friend.

I like hearing what you have to say. (:
