I know this was supposed to be done on Friday, but if you look at my post from Saturday… I had only learned about Friendly Friday on Saturday afternoon. Friendly Friday is simply doing something nice for others on a Friday, and getting to share about what you did, how you felt, etc. While part of me still feels like this is boasting, I know that it really isn’t. It was created to encourage others, and subsequently to be encouraged by others who read your blog. While I know there’s not really anyone who reads my blog, this is still a fun thing for me to do.

Also, I’m posting late because, well, I’m a college kid and have a life. (;

Friendly Saturday:
I bought lunch for a dear friend without her prompting.
I felt it in my wallet when I bought fairtrade chocolate bars instead of Hershey’s for a bonfire and s’more night. I literally could not reach out for the Hershey’s giant bar without feeling extremely convicted about slave labor and exploitation that it took to make that one bar.

Friendly Sunday:
Kidnapped the minister’s daughter with Brad and took her out to lunch. It was a sweet, sweet time with a sweet, sweet little girl. Then we took her back home. No big deal.
Paid for another friend’s dinner.

Friendly Monday:
Directed some foreigners on how to get to the Turnpike. And when my directions failed, I said “follow me.” And I led them to the Turnpike. And while the Turnpike isn’t really that far out of my way, I think it was nice to lead them there. They seemed to appreciate it.

Okay. I did three days of Friendly because I felt guilty for missing the first day. I will try to be diligent and continue posting a FF on Fridays and not three days later.

Also, I still don’t know why my page won’t LINK TO ANYTHING. It’s seriously making me angry.

  1. YAY! Those are great ones. The fair-trade chocolate bar – good work! It is so hard to make the more expensive but more ethical choice sometimes, isn’t it? Thank you so much for sharing this. I love the ‘kidnapping’ lunch. Great way to bless the little girl and probably her parents!

I like hearing what you have to say. (:
